Wilderness Emu Ranch is located in Taylor County, Wisconsin. In the beautiful Chequamegon National Forest. Our name reflects this wonderful 80-acre setting, with its truly different seasons.
What started out many years ago as a Christmas Tree Farm, has evolved into the modern concept of alternative farming, and value added farm product marketing. From an interesting radio program, and then to the first state convention years ago, building this business made perfect sense. Raising EMU's and marketing the outstanding products from these birds is a perfect fit. Once the unique and beneficial qualities of the Emu were realized, it was hard to ignore its value and benefit to mankind.
Being part of our industry's beginnings, we have now been in business since 1995. Reflecting on those years, we happily realize we made the right decision. From incubating and hatching our first chick, to filling out and shipping our latest wholesale and retail order, we feel proud to be part of this unique industry. Our Association and industry memberships reflect this. We strive to give our business and customers the attention they deserve. Our customers enjoy the highest quality products and service.
We have a true interest the health and welfare of our birds. They have gained our fondness, and we respect their uniqueness, value and qualities that make them what they are, and their benefit to society as a whole. Our birds are humanely raised in a healthy, natural environment. They are fed an all natural feed, that does not contain any animal by products, antibiotics, growth hormones or medication of any kind. This results in the very high quality and value of our products.
We enjoy meeting new customers that stop by and most often, will give them a tour. Visits and tours are welcome and are free. Please note that prior arrangements for tours are required to ensure we are available and time is allotted for this purpose. We can be contacted by fax, e-mail or phone.
